Contracts & Server Lifecycle

Understanding how server contracts work and the server lifecycle process.

Contract Status Types

1

Running Active Contract

Your server is active, consuming coins daily (for paid plans) or requiring manual renewal (for free plans), and available to players.

2

Suspended Cancelled Contract

You've cancelled the server. It's no longer accessible and not consuming coins, but data is preserved.

3

Deleted Automatic Cleanup

After a few days, suspended servers are automatically deleted to free up resources.

Cancelling a Server

Access Contracts

Navigate to the "Contracts" page from the main menu to view all your active services.

Find Your Server

Locate the server you want to cancel in your contracts list.

Click Cancel

Click the "Cancel" button for the server you want to stop.

Confirm Cancellation

Confirm your decision. The server will be immediately suspended and stop consuming coins.

⚠️ Important: There is no direct "delete" button. Cancelling a server suspends it, and automatic deletion occurs after a few days. This grace period allows you to reactivate if needed.

Reactivating a Suspended Server

If you've cancelled a server but want to reactivate it before automatic deletion:

🚨 Data Loss Warning: Once a server is automatically deleted, all data is permanently lost and cannot be recovered. Make sure to backup important data before cancellation.

Free Plans (0€)

GreatHost offers free plans with the following features:

Manual Renewal Process

Access Contract Details

From the Contracts page, click on your free server to view the details.

Check Accumulated Time

Verify how much time you have accumulated. Remember that the maximum is 5 days (120 hours).

Click "Renew +12 hours"

Use the green renewal button to add 12 additional hours to your server.

Wait for Cooldown Period

After renewing, you'll need to wait 30 minutes before you can renew again.

⚠️ Important: If you don't renew your free server before the accumulated time expires, it will be automatically suspended. Make sure to renew it regularly to keep it active.
💡 Tip: Set reminders in your calendar to renew your free servers and prevent them from being suspended due to inactivity.
