At Greathost we've always tried to be straightforward with our community, and this time is no different. We want to explain what has happened over the past few months and why some of you have had an experience you didn't deserve.
The LXC to KVM Migration
We made the decision to migrate our infrastructure from LXC containers to KVM virtual machines with the goal of improving long-term performance and stability. However, this migration required a significant financial investment that, as of today, has not delivered the expected returns. That has had real consequences on how we've been able to operate.
Why Our Support Got Worse
As a direct result of that financial situation, we were forced to reduce our support and technical team. Fewer staff meant tickets going unanswered for days, partial fixes that didn't solve the root problem, and in some cases, tickets being closed without a proper response. We know that is unacceptable, and we fully understand the frustration of those who lost users or revenue because of us.
What We're Doing Now
We're not writing this to make excuses, but to let you know that we are aware of the damage caused and that we are taking action. We are restructuring the team, reviewing our internal processes, and working to bring the service back to the level it was at when many of you first signed up.
